Looking for a way to get concise results for list of machines:
\\machine1 has been up for: 2 day(s), 13 hour(s), 42 minute(s), 59 second(s)
\\machine2 has been up for: 1 day(s), 21 hour(s), 25 minute(s), 50 second(s)
\\machine3 has been up for: 41 day(s), 0 hour(s), 28 minute(s), 24 second(s)

Etc.

I am currently doing:

     for /F %%M in (.\registerlist.txt) do uptime %%M

output to a log file but there is a lot blank space included. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Hmmm, uptime.exe (v1.0.0.1) ran fine for me on Win2008 64-bit 2/SP2 as admin, even while using the /s and /a switches, and even when in both C:\ and C:\Windows\System32\! I didn't even need to provide command prompt elevation!

I believe I had problems on Win2003 64-bit, but I don't have any of those servers left to test on.

Also having challenges with getting uptime /p:x to work for checking reboot events for Windows 2008 servers. It works for some, not for others, not clear yet what the difference is.

I tried this on a 64-bit 2008 server and it seemed to work fine. I know that the event log was changed around a bit in 2008 so that may be part of the problem.
