I am a big fan of American muscle cars, especially Dodge. (Check out my cars page.) I came across information and spy pics of the 2006 Dodge Challenger concept that Dodge will be showing in Detroit during January. It is built with the retro look of the 1970 Challenger. It has the distinctive Challenger look, but it looks modern at the same time. Apparently it is built on a shortened Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger chassis. It also has a 6.1 litre Hemi with a 6 speed manual transmission. Dodge says that they have no plans to produce it. I predict that they will produce it, and it will be a huge success. I will definitly buy one when they start producing them (if I am out of school, and have money, of course). I am hoping that it will be at the Philadelphia International Auto show in February, which I am going to try to go to. Here are all the pictures that I have found of the Challenger Concept.

This is the official concept drawing that Dodge has released. Click below for more pictures.

I noticed that the article below, that I posted on digg is no longer to be found on digg. When I originally posted it, I did not expect to receive 334 diggs, and a spot on the homepage. Now I can no longer find it on digg, except under my profile. I guess to many users decided that it was not “relevant” information. When I wrote the article, I also didn’t realize that I would get so many comments about how “lame”, “old”, and “newbie” this information is. While I would admit, that it is old, and basic information, it is information that every technical computer user should know. But there is so much information out on the internet, that in reality, not many people know much about how email actually works. But everyone has to start somewhere, even the 133t geeks. The basic premise of the internet is for people to share information, even old information, that may be more than two days old. I just don’t understand why a few more knowlegable people would be so strongly against info that hundreds of other users found interesting and enlightening. People can be so proud and arrogant, it amazes me. Well enough of my rantings. Hopefully, those who read the article will benifit from it. I will try to post more technical articles about things I know and learn about. And if it is too basic for you, find another blog to read. I will think twice now about posting articles on digg. It is a great website, but it doesn’t seem to be the place to go for old technology information. Enjoy any “old” information that I post, because, if it is still relevant, it isn’t really “old”.
Part of my job at work is to monitor our email system. I receive all emails sent to postmaster and webmaster through our system. In the past few weeks, I have received dozens of undeliverable emails returned from other domains to these addresses. Most of these have dozens of email addresses listed that were undeliverable. Some are email rejected for viruses or suspected spam. Since our email system delivers thousands of emails to our clients daily, I was concerned that we were configured as an open-relay and would be blacklisted. After verifying that our server was not configured as an open relay I looked through the email logs looking for the undeliverable emails. I was unable to find the spam email anywhere in our logs, so I came to the conclusion that someone was spoofing our email addresses to send spam. Digging further in our email logs, I found other undeliverable emails sent to nonexistent email addresses. So I realized that they were spoofing other email addresses then just the postmaster. Some of the addresses were random strings of letters, but most looked like fake usernames. Because of this, I have done quite a bit of research on email and email address spoofing, and I thought that I would write up some of what I have learned. I have also provided a script that will allow you to send spoofed emails to your friends.

This past Sunday and Monday we got our first snow of the year. On Sunday morning we found about two inches of snow. It was pretty cold all day, and the snow was really hard and icy. It mostly melted away on Monday morning, but around 7:30 pm the snow started again. So Tuesday morning we had about 3 inches of snow on the ground. It was really cold all day, so the snow is pretty hard. There is no ice or snow on any of the roads, but they put an insane amount of salt down. My car is already covered with salt, and it looks terrible. I’m hoping we get lots of snow this year. Check out some pictures of the snow. Continue reading ‘The First Snow of the year!!!’
Saturday afternoon, my dad and I went down to the Family Chrysler dealership, to see Brian Dawkins of the Philadelphia eagles. We waited in line for about an hour and then had him autograph some stuff. Brian Dawkins plays free safety for the Eagles. He is one of my favorite players on the Eagles. He is the third Eagle player that I have met. The other two were Cecil Martin and Doug Brezinski, both of whom don’t play football anymore. Here is some pictures of Dawkins and the autograph we got. I’ve lived in Pennsylvania all my life, so I really enjoyed this email about Pennsylvania that I got today. I understand pretty much everything on this list, which makes it even more funny. So here is how to know if you are from or in Pennsylvania:
You’ve never referred to Philadelphia as anything but “Philly.” And New Jersey has always been “Jersey.”
You refer to Pennsylvania as “PA” (pronounced Peeay). How many other states do that?
